LENT is the six-week period leading up to Easter. Just as we prepare for a wedding, or a special birthday, or an anniversary, LENT is a time to prepare ourselves for the death and resurrection of Jesus at Easter. Traditionally, people may abstain from something for the purpose of focussing on their relationship with Jesus.
Is there a way you can prepare yourself for Easter?
LENT starts on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.
A passage to meditate on in Revelation 5:6, 9-10
“Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne…
And they sang a new song, saying:
You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign on the earth.””
